Our leadership philosophy

By founding our leadership on the Group’s core values and leadership model, we can ensure that the Fagerhult culture continues to develop in a positive direction.

But leadership also requires practical tools. Consequently, we invest significantly in educating and further developing our managers’ leadership skills, as well as their knowledge and understanding of Fagerhult’s culture.

We promote a coaching and engaging leadership style. The methodology we use can then be applied by the managers in their day-to-day work with their teams at a local level.

Each year, we follow up on our managers’ performance, to ensure that they have the right support and are engaging in the right activities. To secure long-term stability, we also produce succession plans that identify activities relevant for future development and new managers.

Our trainee program

Bright Prospects is our international management trainee program where you get to develop your skills by working in three different companies within the Group. One or two of these will be abroad. You are hired on a permanent contract and at the end of the program you are offered a position within the Group. This is a unique chance to develop on the job and with global leadership experts to learn from.

You will have extensive support from your Sponsor, your Mentor and your Buddy. Your Sponsor is your guide within Fagerhult Group and is a senior manager passionate about talent development. Your Mentor takes an active part in your projects and is always available for coaching and support. Your Buddy is a previous trainee who helps you with everyday practical support and advice.

Bright Prospects is open for application to fresh graduates from well-reputed universities. We place significant value on language skills, extra-curricular achievements and sports merits. The program is open for application late in the year so please keep an eye on Open Positions.

Meet Uche – 2018/19 trainee

During my final year in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manchester, I came across Fagerhult Group’s trainee program at the graduate fair. Having previously completed my bachelor’s dissertation on sustainability, with my skills and interest being in management and problem-solving, the lighting industry seemed ideal. A platform that allows you to develop a wide range of skills in different parts of the world, what a perfect career start!

So far it has been a huge learning experience in terms of how I think and approach a problem. Looking at the bigger picture, looking at problem-solving in a different way. I like the fact that someone in the same position on the other side of the world is just a phone call away and we can establish an international network of people to collaborate and exchange ideas with. People who share my global mindset, people that challenge you, across the entire organization, to bring out the best in each other.
